Since the cause of Cancer is not fully understood, and no treatments
are known for the disease, prevention becomes more important.
Preventing Cancer
Now that you understand the physiology of cancer,
you also understand that making lifestyle changes to avoid carcinogens,
can effectively prevent cancer.
The absolute number one way of preventing cancer is to lower the
levels of toxins you expose your body to. Typical actions to take
to prevent cancer include:
Stop Smoking - and stay away from second hand smoke. Typical amounts
of mercury in cigarettes is ~ 30 +/- 10 ng (nanograms) per cigarette.
The mercury comes from fungicides used by tobacco growers
The only thing I'll add is that even scientists and medical doctors
have only a superficial grasp of the detailed workings of cancer.
But that is changing, and as it changes, better treatments will
arise.
But even if we cure all cancer, toxins will take a toll in other
diseases.
