In most cases, normal chemotherapy is not effective in prostate
cancer treatment. Chemotherapy is used when the cancer has metastisised
outside the prostsate. The main treatments for prostate cancer include:

Treatments are often restricted by parameters such as
Gleaon Score – e.g. lower than 8
PSA level – e.g lower than 10
PSA doubling rate - e.g. less than one year
Volume of prostate gland - e.g. < 60ml
Spread of cancer - contained within the prostate or beyond
Response of the cancer to initial treatment are important in determining
the outcome of the disease.
