concerns. Yet, regular screening for polyps is essential in both
the preventation and treatment of colorectal cancer. This type of
cancer is often without symptoms. For screening programs in your

Colorectal cancer treatments include surgery and post operative
chemotherapy. If these treatments do not clear all cancer and metastases,
and new FDA approved treatment option for advanced colorectal cancer
is now available, called Vectibix.
Vectibix
Vectibix is the first entirely human anti-EGFr antibody to significantly
improve progression-free survival as a monotherapy for patients
with advanced colorectal cancer. Vectibix is designed to selectively
target the epidermal growth factor receptor, which is known to be
involved in the development and progression of several cancers.
It also offers a convenient once-every-two-week dosing schedule.
In conjunction with this announcement, Amgen, the developer of
Vectibix is also introducing a new program that will provide financial
assistance to cancer patients taking Vectibix. Through this new
program, every eligible cancer patient in the U.S. will have access
to Vectibix regardless of their ability to pay.
