Preventing Acne
There is no permanent cure or acne prevention regime. Even after
the blemishes disappear, you must continue to use an effective treatment
to prevent acne blemishes and lesions from forming.
Daily use of the Clearogen Treatment heals your existing skin and
will prevent acne formation and new blemishes.
Care and Prevention for Acne Prone Skin
Avoid over cleansing of skin: this can further
irritate the delicate, inflammed skin surface
Avoid drying products: Alcohol-based astringents
and harsh cleansers can worsen acne. When the skin becomes dry,
acne prone skin 'compensates' by producing even more oil resulting
in more pore clogging.
Avoid picking at the skin: Squeezing and picking
at blemishes prolongs the infection AND can cause permanent scarring.
Avoid Greasy Creams and Makeup: Oily makeup and
creams clog the pores of the skin resulting in more acne. Take care
to purchase skin care products that state "non-comedogenic".
These products have been tested for acne prone skin.
Preventing Blackheads
Even if you do not see blackheads on your skin, it is still recommended
that you cleanse regularly.
Initial symptoms of blackheads are not visible to the naked eye.
If your skin is left unclean, these yellow blemishes invite more
dirt and eventually grow into hard black bumps that are difficult
to extract. A regular cleansing program prevents this happening.
