Common Medical Terms Associate With Acne

Rosacea - skin disease limited to the nose, cheeks, chin and forehead. It mostly affects middle-aged men and women between the ages of 40 and 50. Women are more affected, although cases in men are more severe. The cause of this disease is not known, but multiple factors may cause an overreaction of facial blood vessels to cause flushing and inflammation. There may also be a genetic component involved.
